Q5. What’s the difference between 300 and 420 series surgical suture needles?
A: The WEGO 420 series medical suture needles are made from maraging stainless steel. They are made by full US machines with a newly developed technique. This super alloy offers excellent ductility, bending performance, high strength, and a sharp edge.
The WEGO 300 series surgical needles are crafted from stainless steel family AISI 300, also known as the austenitic stainless steel family. It represents the optimal grade of stainless steel for high-performance surgical needles on the market, combining high ductility with strong bending resistance for superior penetration. This series is more resistant to bending and breaking and is available in a square body for enhanced strength.
The WEGO 300 series surgical needles provide superior penetration performance compared to the WEGO 420 series.
